I'm not saying I don't like them. Both are great songs and I have Twice on repeat but I just can't connect with the feeling she's trying to emote.106th wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 2:38 amdid you like Accelerate at least? she gave us something for everyone... a modern bop AND a gorgeous balladMakeMeYours wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 1:38 amI just can’t connect with the ballad. That's okay if you dont connect to the song, I love most of Christina's ballads but never connect to them or get emotions myself. Mainly because songs about love in general don't connect with me because I've never been in love. I appreciate the fuck out of her vocal performance thoMakeMeYours wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 6:23 amI'm not saying I don't like them. However accelerate is a bop, but once again caters to a specific type of person. If you don't like hip-hop/urgent beats, the song isn't for you. But I have forced myself to like it

I would say I'm glad you relate to one of her song at such a level, but maybe for that particular song it's not something to congratulate..MakeMeYours wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 6:38 amI'm OK makes me cry everytime I listen to it. LOLJonSnoo wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 6:29 am

We share the same background when it comes to our dads and childhood memories. It's sad, but it's behind us now.JonSnoo wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 6:52 amI would say I'm glad you relate to one of her song at such a level, but maybe for that particular song it's not something to congratulate..But she does have some amazing, diverse songs to connect to many different people. Soar gives me the feels of feeling good enough tho

Try and not think of it so conventionally. "A song about being in love".MakeMeYours wrote: ↑May 12th, 2018, 1:38 amI just can’t connect with the ballad. It doesn’t speak to me. Ugh
She's questioning life itself. She's has this love ( whatever/whoever it is ) and it's something she's always wanted and probably realised that having it is not necessarily what life is about, having that one thing won't make you happy for the rest of your life because life isn't that simple.
People constantly think whatever their thriving for is going to make them the happiest and it will be a happily ever after type situation. Life is not like that , there is no happily ever after.
"Found the price of love and lost my mind" the line itself struck my entire soul. Ugh. I love this woman and how she sings.

Not with them crusty ass rappers.

Anyways, back to GODice...can we talk about the emotional inflictions she lays out through the song?!?!? High and lows, left and rights....
