Pink has always given Christina credit for her voice and it's really unfair that people are putting words in her mouth and thoughts in her head. Form the footage posted in the actual arena, it sounded waaay better live anyways.

Demi was stiff though and the intro seemed like we were preparing for an iconic performance. Instead it was stale.

Really? It's crazy to think IAMMMW ever had a negative reaction. But do you think the negative reaction at first was like this one on twitter, or worse?Yisus86 wrote: ↑November 19th, 2017, 10:41 pmThis is my first post here ever, and all I can say is: I remember when Christina sang IAMMMW at the Grammys, many fans on ALD was in same way at this moment, they didn´t like her performance, many people was saying she was screaming, out of tune, and so on, BUT that tribute became one of the greatest of all time (3rd in Grammy History). I think tomorrow the media is going to be talking about Christina, prising her, and mentioning how she did an amazing tribute again. I can't express how much she made me feel tonight, I am so fucking proud of her and to be her fan.

I truly am speechless. Christina gave her ALL tonight. She was so moved, so much emotion in her voice and it was so damn beautiful. She did it like Christina and she paid utter respect to Whitney. I'm sure she would be proud. I really am. Was it perfect? No. It was all feeling, true heart and her voice emoting all of it. NOBODY can do 4 fucking Whitney Houston songs LIVE but Christina Aguilera. If you are here tonight to bash her or to be just plain mean go and get a fucking life. For real. Tonight is not the night.

I noticed that most haters don't even really have anything to complain about (esp not as some were complaining before the first note), so they decided to make it about race and that rather than it being a matter of Blacks or not, most of them are BTS fans (had the usernames/pics + were the only ones in her tag on Tumblr complaining) and under some impression the whole show that the awards were just anticipating the grandest moment of the night or something for BTS like they're the main event
. The Blacks that I saw were loving it & Christina; they're not even complaining about her looks like some here.
Some haters even tried it about the back ups, saying bitterly stuff like, "The back up singers are Black, though. Isn't that nice...?", when Christina's been mostly using the same band/backup for so long...Apparently, they're under the impression the AMAs is that came up w/ it all and threw in Black backups to cover or w/e; so the funny thing is the ones complaining are the one's being "racist" as they're taking credit from the family that decided to get her and they're complaining like they truly care when: this tribute was announced last month, real fans of Whitney would know she loved Christina, that the family requested her, and that such tribute was happening anyway as they said so since the performance w/ the hologram.
This overrules the haters.

Fans in LD always found reasons to bitch about anything Christina does.backtobasics9000 wrote: ↑November 19th, 2017, 10:58 pmReally? It's crazy to think IAMMMW ever had a negative reaction. It just takes them a bit longer to realize what they have in front of them.

I never liked that performance, the Whitney tribute was more heartfelt and raw.backtobasics9000 wrote: ↑November 19th, 2017, 10:58 pmReally? It's crazy to think IAMMMW ever had a negative reaction. This performance was about christina singing to her IDOL who warmed her and praised her. She's the Only one in the last 20 years in Music who comes close to the Greatest that Whitney was and will be forever.
Tonight Christina remains me that I still can get butterflies in my stomach when I heard her sing, To feel nervous of how I was today bc I want her to do GREAT and she did.. I am a PROUD fan who still feel this amazing feelings when she perform.
Thank you Christina!

I was shaking for 20 minutes after the tribute. She was moved and moved the entire audience. Her voice is truly touched by an angel.X-mael wrote: ↑November 19th, 2017, 11:21 pmThis performance was about christina singing to her IDOL who warmed her and praised her. To quote my roommate who appreciates Whitney and Christina but is more classic rock inclined:
"What's the internet being harsh about? It's not Christina's fault Whitney was a perfect singer. Whitney had a higher voice, Christina has this deep guttural voice that makes you feel warm inside like melted chocolate. I think Christina has more soul than Whitney to be honest. Idk, the woman can wail..... did she do something to her lips?"
I love her lol.
