What did he expect he stoke the flame of hate , racism and intolerance so he just have to deal with the consequences. He is going to get it from all sides republicans who don't like him and Democrats and he better deliver for his supporters cause they are going to turn on him if he does not bring back their manufaturing jobs. Poor him you make your bed lie in it.
People from DC's not going to take it. I'm actually excited to see eggs being thrown while he's swearing the oath. His inauguration is going to be A MESS and I will be loving every second of it.Norgito wrote:Omg over 100,000 people protesting in New York you guys are following the news? This will be huge!
You think his broke ass supporters are going to travel to D.C. to watch him take the oath of office?
He's gonna be so butt-hurt when he sees all the protests and that no one showed up.

All these protestors...
Are we forgetting how Trump got into the white house in the first place? The American people voted him in! Now people want to protest. Same thing with Brexit. People voted for the UK to leave the EU then the protests started but they died down eventually, which is what will happen in America too.
It's not like the government just said "hey Trump you are now the President!" No! He won the electoral vote meaning people want him there.

How is the electoral college fair when it declares the less popular candidate the winner?

Just saw a piece on the BBC web page about how this election was affecting families. Family members stopped talking to each other or insulted each other over Trump/Hillary. This is even dividing families and partners.

Of course not. My post was just response to your statement that it's some kind of selfish privilege to be considering going abroad. Personally I think to some this declaration of "moving to Canada" is mostly talk.Tina wrote:So are you suggesting that victims of sexual abuse should move abroad? You know that solves absolutely nothing, right? Also, most of the people that are complaining are not victims of any sort of heinous crime.
My point is you can't really know what those people have been through, not everyone shares their assault story in social media.

I don't know, but I doubt she had anything to do with porn. People say she was an escort, but people say lot of things that aren't true so..WalkAway wrote:Wasn't she just a model before ? Was she actually a porn star?
Also she speaks 6 languages apparently. She obviously is somewhat smart.

You're a bit stupid aren't you. Ever thought that the people protesting didn't vote him in anyway? Hillary got more VOTES than Trump. Trump has actively spread his bigotry throughout his campaign. So yes people will protest. You're acting like 0 people voted for Hillary. Read a book!Luv2LuvUxxx wrote:All these protestors...

The electoral college is a joke. Democracy is a joke. Since the electorals get to choose who wins not the voters.Luv2LuvUxxx wrote:All these protestors...

Whore is in itself a misogynist word, with such history and meaning. It's called a "slur". Kinda like fag.Twenty1ne_Pilots wrote:It''s not though. Misogynist means discrimination against all women. Making one comment about one women is not discrimination against all women. Acusing someone of that is wrong. Men can be whores and pornstars. You people need to get over your sensitively shit. I don't see people crying when someone calls a man something negative.

Men can and have been called whores too. It's not just a woman thing like you people are trying to make it. It is not the same as being called a fag. Fag = discrimination against a gay man. Whore does not = a sex. Nowhere in the definition of the word whore does it state anything about a woman. It fact it doesnt mention a sex at all. You people are just reaching. Don't act like men haven't been called whores as well.Raven wrote:Whore is in itself a misogynist word, with such history and meaning. It's called a "slur". well, here we are. I didn't log in at all yesterday and spent most of the time sulking at work while meeting with clients. Strangely it wasn't until a man with very BAD body order came in that I finally smiled because he was the sweetest person I'd met in weeks. Seriously, so charming. Anyway, Trump will be president. I assume that everything that was discussed on media outlets yesterday has already been covered here. I see the protests are a topic of discussion so I'll jump right on in with you. For years Obama has been defended against people saying that he was not their president and for weeks we have been criticizing Trump for not openly saying he would accept the election results. Hypocrisy is not the way forward. He won. He won the swing states; he won the electoral college, and lost the national popular vote. This is the American system for electing the president. As for the protests, Unfortunately, every out cry from these protests will fall on deaf ears. Trump doesn't care about them and neither do the people who voted for him. I will say that there is action that definitely needs to be taken now. Both at a national level and state level. All year long, state legislatures will be passing bills that affect our way of life. There are issues that need to be taken out to the forefront in way that hasn't been seen yet: transgender rights, religious tolerance, protections for lgbt+ people in the workplace, equal pay for women --- previous campaigns for these issues are nothing compared to what needs to happen in the future. More is needed much more. Unfortunately, we can't start this fight until we accept the truth. President Trump.
