The Magyars conquered much of Central Europe at the end of the 9th century. According to Gesta Hungarorum, the Vlach voivode Gelou ruled Transylvania before the Hungarians arrived. The Kingdom of Hungary established partial control over Transylvania in 1003, when king Stephen I, according to legend, defeated the prince named Gyula. Some historians assert Transylvania was settled by Hungarians in several stages between the 10th and 13th centuries, while others claim that it was already settled, since the earliest Hungarian artifacts found in the region are dated to the first half of the 10th century.

In 1920, the Treaty of Trianon as a result of the war, established a new border between Romania and Hungary, leaving the whole of Transylvania within the Romanian state. Hungary protested against the new borders, as over 1,600,000 Hungarian people and representing 31.6% of the Transylvanian population [26] were living on the Romanian side of the border, mainly in Székely Land of Eastern Transylvania, and along the newly created border.

Agree with anom, a european tour is soo cheap and soo beautiful, a good idea!

Well to be honest, the must see cities if you are here are Prague - Amazing! Just soo charming and it has such a great atmosphere!

Also Amsterdam is wonderful and of course Budapest, am not saying this cause I live here, the city is truly breathtaking. Architechture you never seen before. Its just wonderful. Never get tired of it. You can also stay with me!!

If you are in Poland, Warsaw is cute but nothing special, you can basically wander around for an hour and you saw everything. Go to Krakow and Auschwitz. Those are some sights to see.

Vienna, meh. Hated it. Maybe Munich in Germany? Never been but I heard its nice.
Prague's a must. Like I said before, been on my bucket list for YEARS.

Am debating between Krakow versus Warsaw, but my relatives are near Warsaw so leaning closer to that. Time permitting, I'd love to do both since they're set apart like 4 hours driving distance.

Never considered Budapest or Dubrovnik! I have a Croatian gf who goes every summer and the beaches looks amazing. Croatian men are to die for also :icant:

Hmm, Berlin or Munich? Or what about us Stuttgart or Frankfurt? @Angela Merkel halp me choose. And I don't really care for Amsterdam nor Vienna atm gol, although am sure they're both qt.
I have a family member who went to Dubrovnik and it was their fave part of their trip!

A week is the perfect amount of time to spend in Ireland. I would visit Dublin for some touristy stuff (the Guinness factory etc) but travel around a bit as it is @sixx-ty per cent Brazilians in Dublin.

Irish people are very warm and welcoming (to white people). It's the kind of place where people will thank the bus driver as they get off the bus and everyone will want to make sure you leave with a good impression of the place. And the craic in pubs is ninty. Unlike London were everyone is rude and miserable AF.

The natural landscape is top notch and probably one of the main reasons to come here. It's always raining so bring a decent waterproof coat.

Expect to fall in love with at least @sixx men based on accent alone.

I wouldn't consider Belfast unless you wanted to visit the Titanic Museum or do a Game of Thrones location tour. 😘
